The Fossils are definitely leading a great life
After the success of their maiden album, Fossils is at present busy shooting their first music video of the song Ekla Ghar. The shooting took place at RUPAM’s place on May 2 under the direction of RAJARSHI DAS who has developed the script himself.
“I know Rupam since 1995, said Das. “He was more a composer than a singer then. However, I like the style that he has developed, added Rajarshi.

Being an old friend, Rajarshi has been able to get a hang of the songs better. “His songs demand negative images, said Das. “It can be represented best with an abstract collage of shots.
However demands of a commercial medium has debarred this treatment, and hence Ekla Ghar has a story-line. Though the script has been developed by the director himself, he thinks that it’s nothing more than a best alternative. “I wrote keeping in mind the popular demands, said Das. So there are close sequences, the woman being enacted by DEBINA CHATTERJEE.
Rupam, who is acting opposite Debina in a few ‘intimate’ scenes, has objections. “This is not done. A hug can’t be so loose, said Rupam, “It’ll appear artificial. That was very brave of him saying to the director, but one did hear him complaining, behind the curtains, that he’s not cut for such sequences.
Both INDRAJIT and STEPHEN had a tough time in front of the camera. CHANDRA and DEEP were the only ones to remain prepared. Chandra even managed courage enough to suggest a cigarette to be stuck in the gap between the strings near the neck of the new Ibanez five-string bass, which he had bought recently. For RAJARSHI it was not a bad idea either.
The band is definitely running high. So, when will the video go on air? MAHUA LAHIRI, proprietor of ASHA AUDIO, said, “Let’s finish the production first, then we’ll think about it.
